All Saints Vigil, October 31

Held on All Hallows Eve, the Vigil this year will have as its theme “Cries from the Depths: Saints Who Suffered for the Church”. The Vigil will start at 7:30 PM. It will consist of readings from the saints, the Office of Compline (sung Night Prayer), a procession to the house reliquary, and a chanted Litany of the Saints. Confessions will be available throughout the evening, and a reception will follow the Vigil. More information on the history of the vigil and what to expect is available at

Due to the popularity of this event, guests should plan to arrive early if they desire a seat. There is metro service at CUA/Brookland station on the Red Line, where there is also a Capital Bikeshare rack. There are racks available for personal bikes at DHS. The priory is also served by WMATA buses 80 and H2-H6. Parking will be available in the USCCB parking lot on 4th St. after 5:30pm.
