Happy Thanksgiving!

The fathers and brothers of the Dominican House of Studies wish you a happy and holy Thanksgiving!

The holiday arrives just in time. This has been a difficult year. For many of us, the goodness of God’s providence is not shining as clearly as it has in the past. We struggle to see the greater good that God is drawing out of continued illness, lockdowns, and the material and spiritual trials that these hardships bring.

Today, however, we look beyond these difficulties to the certainties of faith and hope. On this national day of prayer, we ask the God of all bounty to grant us the grace of a grateful heart. With clear minds, may we recognize the enduring goodness of God, and of our families and homeland, and with simple hearts may we render them due thanks.
