A Vigil of All Saints, October 31

Held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 31, this year’s A Vigil of All Saints will have the theme “O Sacred Banquet,” directing our focus to the Eucharist and the real presence of our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. As in the past, the Vigil will consist of readings from the saints, the Office of Compline (sung Night Prayer), a candlelight procession to the house reliquary, a chanted Litany of the Saints, and the veneration of relics. Confessions will be available throughout the evening, and a light reception will follow (held outdoors, if the weather permits). More information on the history of the vigil and what to expect is available here.

Doors to the event will open at 6:30 p.m. Due to the number of expected attendees, guests should plan to arrive early if they desire a seat. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate seat reservations or to permit the saving of multiple seats for those on the way.

There is metro service at CUA/Brookland station on the Red Line, where there is also a Capital Bikeshare rack. The priory is also served by WMATA buses 80 and H2-H6. Overflow parking will also be available in the USCCB parking lot on 4th St. after 6:30 p.m. if the priory lots fill up.

God bless you, and we hope to see you at the Vigil!
