Blessing of the New Bell, January 12

We have some exciting news at the Dominican House of Studies. After 120 years, thanks to your support, we finally have a bell for the tower!

On Sunday, January 12 at 10:30 AM, you are welcome to join the friars for the blessing of our new bell. This unique and exciting liturgical event will take place in the Academic Courtyard, to which friars will direct you upon arrival.

The full schedule for Sunday, January 12 is as follows.

8:30 AM           Lauds and Office of Readings
10:30 AM      Blessing of the new bell in the Academic Courtyard
11:15 AM          Mass for the Baptism of the Lord
5:20 PM           Rosary
5:35 PM           Vespers

Once the bell is blessed, the actual lifting and installation of the bell into the tower will take place sometime in the weeks ahead.
