ST. PATRICK, AGBOR-OBI

This is in the Issele-Uku diocese. Fr. Chukwubikem Okpechi was the superior pastor starting from the 2nd of February, 1985 until May, 1992 when he moved to Ibadan as prior. During his stay he got assistance from Fr. Iheanyi Enwerem between September, 1985 and May, 1987. Fr. Colum Daley was of immense assistance too by putting the dilapidated house into decent accommodation. This was from 1985 until May, 1989. Fr. Justus Pokrzewinski contributed much to the building of the church from 1987 when he came until 1989 when he moved to Mafoluku. Fr. Jude Mbukanma was resident there with his sisters foundation in 1989.

John Nwanze was made the pastor in May, 1992 but when the community became a full house in September, 1993, Charles Ukwe became the superior. From June, 1994 to October 1997, Nicodemus Ugwu became the superior pastor. Linus Awuhe was posted here between 1992 and 1995. But he actually spent some of this time at Oru. Stan Ukwe joined the house in 1994 and by January, 1997 was made the superior, becoming the pastor on the 8th of October, 1997. He was on this position until November, 1999. Jude Njoku also spent some moths there in 1995 while Callistus Iheme worked there between 1995 and 1998 before moving to Obigbo.

Felix Onemheghie moved from Yaba to take over as superior pastor on 23rd of November, 1999. The church building which took many years to be finished was dedicated in 1999. But the house which was started in the 1980s is yet to be completed.

ST. ALBERT THE GREAT, ODUME, OBOSI

On the 15th of March, 1999 this parish was taken with Chukwubikem Okpechi as its first pastor. He got assistance from Fortunatus Okeke who joined him from Yaba. They have a small house and a temporary church which is about 5minutes walk. On the 20th of June, 2000 a warehouse located next to the house and its land were acquired.

The intention for doing that is to convert this into a church while there are plans to sell the temporary church and its small plot.

ST. MARTIN DE PORRES HOUSE, KUMASI, GHANA.

A parish was opened in May, 1971 by Tony Kilbridge in the diocese of Kumasi. In fact, this parish was considered as a stand-by pending when they will get visas for Nigeria. When in October, 1975. Tony Kilbridge was leaving for Nigeria he handed over the parish to the bishop.

In June, 1992 the parish of St. Martin de Porres in Atonsu-Agogo in Kumasi was taken over by the Dominicans. Emmanuel Ogu and Stephen Owusu-Achaw were the first priests there.

By September, 1993 this community became a formal house. In May, 1999 the parish in Atonsu-Agogo was closed and another; St. Anthony's, Breman, Kumasi, taken on 12th of April, 1999. Mathew Uwaya became the pastor getting assistance from Clement Andem and Dominic Azagbo who were deacons. After his ordination as a priest Dominic Azagbo returned there again on 21st June, 2000.

It is pertinent to mention that Ghana has given the province a good number of vocations. There are also plans for a new foundation in Accra.

ALL SAINTS HOUSE, OYIGBO, RIVERS STATE.

This parish started on 31st of July, 1994 with Charles Ukwe as the pastor and Cyril Orji helping between October, 1994 and May, 1996. It has nine outstations. In September 1997, this was made a formal House, and Lawrence Agu as the first superior-pastor.

He was later joined by Alphonsus Ozoemena (September, 1995 -August 1998); Valentine Anyanwu (September, 1998-February,1999) and Callistus Iheme (August, 1998 till the present).

The Dominicans came to meet a large church which was usable but unfinished, a small bungalow and also an unfinished fathers house. The design of the fathers house was considered as unsuitable, therefore modified before construction started. The House is now completed and occupied.
