Tob 13:814                                                                                                                  Friday Morning 4

Let all praise his majesty, * and narrate with psalms * his greatness in Jerusalem!

Jerusalem, holy city, * God scourged you for your children's deeds,

once again with innocence you will praise his mercy * once again will your tent be rebuilt with joy.

Gladden the captives gathered within you, * pity the distressed gathered within you * for all generations to come.

A bright light has shown * over every part of the world.

Many people will come to you, * from the ends of the earth, * because of your holy name,

with gifts in their hands, * for the King of heaven.

For ages to come your people will rejoice over you * and over the great name of Yahweh for all generations.

So rejoice and shout * over your innocent children.

For they will all be gathered within you * and will bless the eternal God.

How happy are those who love you, * blest who rejoice over your prosperity.

Happy also are those who mourned * over all the punishment your suffered,

for they will soon rejoice in you, * seeing your joy forever.
