Psalm 115                                                                                                    Sunday Evening 2

Not for our sake, Yahweh, * not for our sake,

but for the sake of your name * display your glory,

because of your kindness, * because of your faithfulness,

lest the nations say, * Where, indeed, is their God?

Though our God is in heaven, * whatever he wills, he does.

Their idols are silver and gold, * the work of human hands.

They have mouths, but do not speak. * They have eyes, but do not see.

They have ears, but do not hear. * They have noses, but do not smell. *

They have hands, but do not feel.

They have feet, but do not walk. * With their throats they cannot make sound.

Like them shall their makers become, * everyone who trusts in them.

Israel, trust in Yahweh; * your Helper and Master is he!

House of Aaron, trust in Yahweh; * your Helper and Master is he!

You who fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh; * your Helper and Master is he!

Our throne may Yahweh bless. * May he bless the house of Israel.

May he bless the house of Aaron. * May he bless those who fear Yahweh, *

                the small with the great.

May Yahweh make you many, * you and your children.

May you be blessed by Yahweh, * who made heaven and earth.

The high heavens belong to Yahweh, * but he has entrusted the earth to men.

It is not the dead who praise Yah, * nor those who go down to the Dungeon.

But we will bless Yah * from now to eternity.

Hallelu-Yah!
